Theory, Aesthetics, Anthropology, Philosophy and Comparative Disciplines
The professors, lecturers and collaborators in this field carry out research and teaching in the sphere of the theoretical and critical disciplines dealing with unresolved issues in aesthetics, ethics, political theory and sustainability, investigated from a historical perspective but also as the foundations of the coeval critical debate on the role of architecture and urban planning in contemporary and future societies.
The focus is on a comparative and interdisciplinary approach that includes reflections in the field of musicology, the relation between word and image, literature and architecture, as well as the theory of the artistic and architectural heritage, the history of ideas and socio-cultural practices.
